hi Simon yes, i managed to download and run SayPad eventually. i have also changed the speech engine to Mary both in SayPad and in Speech under control panel. but surprisingly this only works while in saypad. it ceases to function when i close saypad. i still get the default sam whenever i run narrator. is there a way to set Mary speech engine permanently in narrator as opposed to default sam voice? your advice is greatly appreciated. apologise for my broken English as English is not my native language. thank you in advance. ----- Original Message ----- From: "simon.dowling" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "PC audio discussion list.
