Hello, As I got no response when I posted this to the Skype list, I thought I would try here.
I have no difficulty dialing or connecting to phone numbers using Skype Out. This is the service where one can make phone calls to conventional phone numbers. The problem I am having is that the sound quality of the mike has far too much bass and no trebel. Using the same mike and an identical set up, the audio quality is beautiful when calling another Skype user; that is, computer to computer rather than via a phone line. I don't know if this has anything to do with filtering since phone lines limit the modulating frequencies to about 4000 cycles. I am not using any kind of equalizer. I would be most interested to hear whether others have experienced this with Skype Out; and, if so, how did you resolve the issue. Thanks in advance.
