hi All,

I have been a member of audible.com for some time. I don't have any trouble
getting books, but I do have a couple of questions. Whenever I upgrade
winamp, it takes over trying to play those files. It can't play them. The
only way I have found around this is to unselect all filetypes in Winamp,
which defeats the purpose of having it in the first place. Does anyone know
what filetypes I need to uncheck so that Winamp won't try and play my
audible files?

My other question concerns the portability of these files. I do not have an
mp3 player at this time, so I have been burning them onto audio cd. The
problem is that I often get this horrible crackling noise in the disk. Many
of my disks are impossible to listen to. I do have a cd player that will
play mp3's. Can I convert the audible files to mp3 without burning them
onto audio first? I could then get several books on one disk, and that
would be quite handy. I'm open to ideas. Thanks.
