Hi everyone.

I have a frustrating problem I hope someone can help me with. The
frustration is borne from my ignorance. I would be grateful if someone
would give me precise keystroke instructions to help me solve this. I have
the free version of Reel player. I think it is rep10. I also have Windows
media and I am using XP home edition plus JAWS 5. Now! Here is the problem.
When I rip a CD with Windows Media, despite having ticked all the relevant
boxes for track number, song title and artist name to be part of the file
name, Windows media sometimes doesn't provide the information. Sometimes it
will say for example, 01 Track1 & 02 Track 2 etc. However, if I rip that
disc in Reel player, Reel Player will invariably provide the track number
and song title but won't give the artist name. This isn't a problem with
single artist albums but it is with compilations. I have occasionally had a
dialogue box appear giving me the option to select song title and artist but
this is extremely infrequent and appears without warning and seems to apply
only to the disc that is being ripped. What I do get after the song title
instead of the artist name is "various". I have tried going to tools and
then going to CD information. Once there I select the option to overwrite
the CD information hoping that it will include the artist name but without
success. Again, would someone please give me precise instructions on how to
ensure that when I rip with Reel Player I get both song title and Artist
name as part of the file name. I am very grateful to all those who can
help. Walter.
