Ivan, Make sure the "what you hear" check box is checked. Then, click OK. You'll be returned to the the Wave-In dialogue. In the Wave-In Dialogue, find the balance and volume controls for the What You Hear recording source. Set them as you wish. Then, find the check box immediately after the What you Hear volume control. check It! This makes the What You Hear recording source the active source. and, now you can close the volume control, with alt-F4. Now, if you go into a digital recording program, such as Goldwave, the What You Hear recording source options should be in effect. Whatever audio is passing through your sound card, from whatever source, should be captured in any recording you make with whatever program you are using. Good luck.
