HI, Audio pipeline means that Sam will take the audio data straight from the particular program you are using to stream your audio. So if it is winamp then Sam will take the data straight from winamp itself. If it is ots DJ then Sam will take the audio data from that program. Let me put it another way, if you had winamp set to use the null output plugin and you had Sam configured to use the audio pipeline, sam would still stream the data out to the shoutcast server even if you didn't have a sound card installed. Sure you wouldn't hear any audio on your pc but you would hear the audio on another computer if you logged onto the server you are streaming to and assuming that other computer has an actual sound card installed smile.
If you have Sam configured to sound card then guess what, Sam will take the audio data from whatever sound card you choose. In other words, Sam will broadcast whatever audio you input into your sound card. It is all pretty straight forward really!
