DJC, http://64.71.145.107:8000 is the same 32k, mono stream as http://streams.wgbh.org/wgbh.asx http://streams.wgbh.org/wgbh.m3u and http://streams.wgbh.org/wgbh.pls The latter three are simply metafile containers for the former.
I've written to WGBH (who knows if/when I'll get a response) to confirm this. But I now strongly suspect there is no stereo stream for their regular on-air FM broadcast, only these mono streams. It seems rather dumb to have devoted resources to a second channel stereo stream *without* first investing in a 128k stereo stream of the on-air programming. but, so far as I can see, that's what they've done.
