Well, the txfm's were a bit much, plus I was just looking for a media player without a radio, so I got the Nuvo v100 with two GB for roughly $69. I've heard of the "nuvos" in a past Access World. So, will see how that goes.

Subject: Re: IPod or not Hi Gangstress: Forget about the Zenn! The nanos are IPods and are useful in a sense that they support Audible but not DRM. Also, they have a click wheel type interface that is very difficult for blind users no matter what firmware you are using. If your looking for a simple flash player and the TXFM 2 GB is no longer available I would go with the shuffle because it's very tactile and uses no screen. If you just want to play MP3's or OGG files then you could try an IPOD with rockbox. If you really want to go in style and you have $400 and up to spend you should grab a Book Port or ?Book currier. There designed for the blind and support Play's for sure and Audible. They also use storage cards up to 4 GB and higher. rocker ----- Original Message ----- From: "Joy Tilton" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "PC audio discussion list. The only txfm I saw in Amazon was a 512 mb model. I saw a 2 gb model of Nuvo, but not the txfm, however, again, I only saw it on Amazon and no where else. Wonder if it's being discontinued? How usable are these zens or nanos? I think it also supports plays for sure content like WMA/DRM as well. The IPod shuffle sounds great except for a couple things I just found out. Supposedly this is only a single directory mp3 player. I'd like to have a player which works like an mp3 cd player in that one can play files that are in directories within directories. I don't listen to music on my player, but, rather, I carry books with me. And at times, I read books in series. Because of which, I require something that allows a multi level directory ability. Furthermore, as I examine a review on the Anapod, I am given the impression that the files are played as loaded, and apparently, Anapod numbers each file that is loaded into the Ipod. Is that necessary, or can that be changed at all.
