Now it sounds like a defective headset to me. It is usually the standard 
tube type monitors that often cause the problem. With the tube type if you 
move away from the monitor the hum will dissipate, and the closer you get to 
the monitor the hum will increase in volume. You can experiment a little in 
order to isolate the problem. You may also want to get in touch with the 
company in order to determine what is wrong with your head set. ..
