Subject: Re: USB Sound Card Recommendation

Hi Stephen.

I've got an AV unit in the room next door which has satellite television
on
it. The Engineer has plugged in 2 Optical cables for me. One for audio
out
and one for audio in. I was hoping to play music and audio described
movies
from my computer through the wall to the av unit. I was also wanting to

record on my computer, using GoldWave, AD movies that may be showing on
the
TV. Unfortunately, the sound card I purchased only has an optic out and
a
line in. Although I could still do what I wanted, I thought that the
optic
connection would give me better quality sound reproduction.

Best wishes.
Andy
