Hi, I bought one of these units. I'll tell you about my experience with it. The only software I installed, I don't remember if there was any more or not was the Sansa Updater. Other than that, I'd grabbed a PDF of the manual which was accessible and found out how to get it off MTP into MSC or mass storage mode. It was a fairly decent player, except for the fact that the wheel is rather fiddly. It's not solid, and one physical click of it doesn't necessarily mean only one movement. A few days after I got mine, the updater killed it. I took it back to BestBuy and bought an IAudio X5. The good news for you, if you're thinking about getting one, is that Rockbox is now supported on the Sansa E200 models, as long as they're not the R series. If you can get just an E250 260, 270 or 280 you can run Rockbox on it and have fully spoken menus and file names, better recording and more format support. Brandon
