Hello to everyone. I have a question that has been irritating me for some time now. Some years ago I had some Vinyl LPs and then recorded them to mini disc via analogue, naturally. I then recorded them to CD on a stand-alone hi-fi audio CD recorder; I did this digitally via coaxial cable. I had these CDs for some years and once I got a PC I then ripped them to the hard drive using sometimes CDEX, Windows Media and Reel Player. More times than not I would still get a full and accurate album title, artist list and track listing. Now I can understand this happening when you rip a commercial CD but does anyone know the criteria used for retrieving this information from the database bearing in mind the original recording from Vinyl to Mini disc was done via analogue and not digitally. This is even more of a mystery when you consider that some of these LPs were from the early sixties and never were found on CD. I hope someone can answer my query. With many thanks. MR Baffled
