Hello again, I had previously posted about a reading problem with my cd burner, and plan to purchase a disc cleaner later today. Wish me good luck <g>. But that begs a question.
I am wondering how Nero goes about verifying the files if the disc can't be read? I guess I'm revealing my obvious lack of the mechanics of burner tech here, but I'm wondering if burners such as mine (the Lit-on LTR-352327S) are equipped with one or two lens. Does it read and write with the same one, or separate lens. If not, why could the same lens write, but not read? Since this burner came with my computer, I think it only cost about $50 or something in that range, and that might give some sort of clew as to its features, or lack there of.
