Hi Bruce.

I see the BP and Zen Stone as serving completely different purposes rather 
than two products competing in the same market so it's more likely that 
you'd want both rather than one or the other.  I don't have a BP and haven't 
seenit's specs but I'd be very surprised if it had a great spec for playing 
music when you consider it's main purpose in life is to play the spoken 
word.

The zen stone on the other hand is primarily a music player designed and 
built to provide the best playback quality possible in the tiniest size to 
compete with apple's products.  It has a frequency range of 20 hz to 20 Khz 
whereas typically, players like the olympus ds50, milestone  and I'd imagine 
the BP will only cover 50 hz to 19 Khz.

The zen stone battery life is approx 10 hours on a full charge and it would 
of course be ridiculous to assume you'd need to take a laptop with you to 
recharge.  These types of players always come with an adaptor to charge from 
mains and these can be hhad very cheaply.
