That was an older version. I had something similar happen to my laptop, but luckily a system restore worked. They've since fixed the issue. I installed it on the same laptop with no mishaps. Allison

On an older motherboard, when I managed to run ST Platnum, I noticed it installed a sound driver of it's own. But, on this new motherboard I found it didn't seem to like my sound cards or something, since it disabled both of them completely to the point that neither showed when I brought up sounds and audio from the control pannel.
