It will add another layer to your conversion routine, but that's all. It will
be Much easier to find one dvd than it would be to find several cds.

You may want to rethink that idea.
In less you have a DVD player that can play dvd audio discs, burning all of
your audio files on to dvd is a bad idea.
You may want to stor them on eather CD or MD.
It's just something to think about.
