Hi scott You need to purchase a sound taxi licence for each machine.
The first thing to say about creating a daisy book is, look ath the PRS help. I am not being annoying by saying that. It really is extremely well written and easy to understand help. However very briefly, The first dialog asks you whether you want to open or create a new project. You select new. You then have to specify various parameters about the book in the next two dialogs, such as the compression, the title, author, etc. Just tab through them. When you have your project set up, you select Tools, Import audio. Again, you have a couple of dialogs where you can specify the phrase detection parameters and the location of the file to import. Next you are invited to start the import. You can import as many files as you like. Once done, you can edit the book if required, for example, you can divide the book so it has an audio title, or perhaps headings if you are familiar with the book. If you are not familiar with it, and you knew you wanted to keep it, you could always create headings on the PtR2 or other section dividers while listening to it for future use. Once this is all done, you build the book by pressing Control+B. This is a very quick process. Then just put it on a card or CD if you want. There are lots of other things you could do but those are the very basic steps.
