Hi to all,
I was looking around in my CDex settings and found some options I was not
sure which one to choose.
In the CD drive settings I found a combo box that lets you set the rip
method.
By default, standard is chosen, but here are the other choices.

* Paranoia, overlay only
* Paranoia, no verify
* Paranoia, no scratch repair
*Paranoia, full

Basically you have standard and paranoia as your choices.
But with paranoia, you can turn off some of its features, or leave it at
paranoia full, which would include all paranoia features.
I am just looking to get the best rip I can with as few as errors as
possible.
I do have the check box checked for jeter errors, but wondered if using the
paranoia rip method would also help.
Could someone tell me what it means to verify when ripping a CD, and what
overlay is?

Besides using the standard ripping method, I was considering trying the
paranoia, no verify or the paranoia full.

But I just need some information about these settings first.

Thanks for any help.
Chris
