Hi Jeff, I just went to the control panel, to folder options and file types. Under dvd video, Jaws says, "none, dvd video". i entered on advanced and it gave me only 3 options, "play, play using power dvd, play using power starter." How do I get WMP in there?
Thank you for all your help. I did not see anything about .vob. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jeffrey Dunn" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "PC Audio Discussion List" <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, March 19, 2008 11:00 PM Subject: Re: playing a dvd using windows media 10 with jfw 7 > Hi Lauren: > Sorry my suggestion caused you some trouble. > > After uninstalling VLC, if you want WMP or any other program to > play the dvd > windows needs to "Associate a file " with the program. > > In the control pannel go to folders, then file types. > Arrow down to .VOB, that is the > extension that DVD videos use, you'll probably see VLC as the > current associon.
