Oh, I thought he was very nice, no need for snarfing.  And yes, I did
read the whole message.  I just wanted to be clear what it is we're
doing here.  

Remixing implies one has all the subcomponent parts of a piece--the
drum track, the keyboard(s) track(s), the horn(s), guitar(s), you name
it, all separate.  I don't know the technical term for what it is
you're after, but I understand what it is you want to do now.  Just
about any good wave editor--Sound Forge, Gold Wave, etc.--would do the
job.  I don't know enough about Studio Recorder to say yea or nay to
whether it's up to the task, but if you can edit, cut and paste with
it down to the sample level, then it will do the job, too.
