Subject: Saving q points when converting from a wav to an mp3 file.

Hi Everyone,
I have a deadline with this project, so I am trying to do it right the
first time and need advice, or at least a listening ear.
I have taken a 90 minute cassette of music and saved it as a wav file in
goldwave. I want to make two versions of this. Version 1, which is the
trickiest is an mp3 cd. I know that if I saved this as an mp3 file that I
can't put q points in after editing and saving as an mp3 file, but I was
wondering if as a wav file I can put all my q points in, split the files and
then save as an mp3 at 16000 if the Q points will work on an mp3 cd?
Version two of this proceedure is to make two 45minute cds of this music.
That's easy. But with the first version, if I do all the editing and
splitting in wav, will those q points show up correctly when I save my work
as a 90-minute mp3 disk?
Thanks for time and trouble to answer this.
Vinny
