Hi, I'm using a good quality stereo deck and have tried both the line out and the headphone jack, with similar results. I did try the earphone socket on an old ghetto blaster which seemed to be better, although the motor was too noisy. Any thoughts welcomed, as these tapes are well worth preserving. Thanks.

How are you interfacing your cassette machine to your computer? Is your cassette machine portable, stereo dual, etc. Curtis Delzer At 01:41 PM 6/22/2008, you wrote: >HI, as the subject says, I want to transfer cassettes of professionally >recorded birdsong to my PC.
