HiI've a couple of questions and am looking for some advice/opinions. I have an old turntable and bouble cassette which I put through a mixer then take the signal digitally to my computer. I'm thinking of changing for the IOn Turntable and the IOn Twin Cassette deck which both have USB output to the computer, bypassing anything else. In the past I've altered the signal with the mixer but am generally of the op9inion that it's better to take in; the raw signal then alter it on the computer. Any thoughts here? Secondly I use Sonar, Audition and DC7. I notice that these Ion items come with Audacity - does this mean that they will work better with this program or will my other programs be better? Also for a while there was some talk on this list as to whether Audacity's latest version was accessible to Jaws and it was suggested that a prior version would be better. Is this still the case, and if so will most of the functions I wish to use to clean up tapes and records still be on this earlier version. I'd appreciate anyone who has experience of this passing on some info. Regards. Gordon McFarlane Jonathan Mosen List Founder
