usually when people have that kind of problem with winamp they've allowed winamp update to be installed. It messes up many functions for us. I don't know how to change the program's configuration without uninstalling it. Maybe someone else knows how though. You may have the mini-browser turned on as well. Try alt T to disable it. If you have to reinstal also make sure you have the standard skin enabled too.
