I know that this message is off topic, but I honestly don't know where to go
with it, and I need a solution as quickly as possible, so please respond to
me privately and not to the list. I am a storm and earthquake enthusiast
and often visit web sites like www.hurricanecity.com and other live coverage
sites. There's a potentially significant storm brewing out there right now
and there is a good chance I will be at work when it hits the U.S.
Management has cracked down on people listening to streaming audio on the
company internet. Is there any way possible that I could get this streaming
audio live during my lunch and break times using my cell phone or maybe a
notetaker? I also spend a good bit of time waiting for paratransit and
would love to have access to the internet while I wait, especially streaming
audio. Is this even possible with the current technology? How much money
would it cost? I would buy a notetaker if I could get this streaming audio
independent of my employer's internet facilities.

Thanks in advance for any insights.
