Hi

J-Tunes version 4.02 is available. This is a free update for all
J-Tunes 4.0 customers and of course a demonstration copy is available
from the J-Tunes page of our web site at
http://www.tandt-consultancy.com/j-tunes.html
as is the newly expanded User Guide.

You will find that the User Guide has been expanded to contain some new
sections, including an expansion of the details of using the iTunes
Store. For example, we have included new sections on iTunes Plus, and
what happens when you have purchased an item from the Store.

In this version, we have corrected a number of focus tracking issues in
relation to iTunes which were present whether J-Tunes 4.01 was being
used or not. This includes navigating through lists and problems when
exiting Dialog boxes.

I have taken some extracts from the What's New in J-Tunes 4.0 document
which relate to 4.02 and have pasted them below for your information.
Meanwhile if you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask.

Extracts From Document

Trying It Out

Previously, when using J-Tunes within Demonstration Mode, the product
could be evaluated for 10 minutes, whereupon the computer needed to be
re-started to obtain a further 10 minute trial.

The J-Tunes Demonstration Mode file is automatically installed with the
interface. The restrictions of Demonstration Mode are as follows:
* You are able to use J-Tunes in Demonstration Mode for 15
computing sessions. In other words, if you re-start the computer and
then launch iTunes, or alternatively you close down JAWS and re-start
it, this will count against your 15 computing sessions. Each time you
enter a new computing session, JAWS will announce the number of times
you have started the computer with J-Tunes being used in Demonstration
Mode.
* While within the 15 computing sessions, periodically messages
will be spoken giving you useful information concerning the use of
J-Tunes. In addition while each message is spoken, the keyboard will
"freeze" and will be unusable for approximately 10 seconds while you
listen to the message.
* You can close down iTunes and then re-start it during the same
computing session, or alternatively move away from the program and then
back to it by pressing ALT+Tab. However once you have done this 50
times within the same computing session, the computing session count is
incremented by a value of 1. Once you have done this 49 times, you are
warned that the next time you set focus to the iTunes program, the
computing session count is incremented by 1.

This trial period should give you the opportunity to evaluate J-Tunes to
ensure you are comfortable using it prior to purchase.

Keystroke Changes

The following keystroke changes have been made:
* Speak Track Title: J-Tunes Key then Control+T.
* Speak Elapsed Time: J-Tunes Key then Control+E.
* Speak Remaining Time: J-Tunes Key then Control+R.

Speaking Remaining Time of CD Burning or Audio Conversion

Pressing the J-Tunes Key followed by Control+R while burning a CD or
converting music tracks from audio CD to files will speak the time
remaining for the process to complete.

Speaking the Total Number of Items in the Item List

When focused is placed within the Item List (a list of audio tracks,
podcasts, or items in the iTunes Store for example), with J-Tunes JAWS
will speak the total number of the items in the list and the first item
will be selected. In addition, if the JAWS Key+Up Arrow is pressed to
hear the current line in the Item List, the position in the group and
the total number of items is announced, such as "2 of 153". Both of
these announcements are very helpful if you have searched for audio
tracks either in your iTunes Library or the iTunes Store and you wish to
know how many results are available.

Improved Context Sensitive Help

Given that so many more controls are accessible to you, we felt you may
like to get immediate information about how to use them. Therefore, we
have included a considerable amount of Context Sensitive Help. Pressing
Insert+F1 on many of the iTunes controls will provide you with brief
information about the focused item and any shortcut key for activating
it in the future. This Context Sensitive Help also extends to all the
controls necessary within iTunes when managing content on the new iPod
Nano.

Similarly, our Hotkey Help contains all the keystrokes beneficial for
using iTunes and J-tunes, grouped together in several categories. New in
this update is the ability to move forward through the Help topic
categories with keystrokes rather than activating the appropriate link.

Having pressed Insert+H to bring into view Hotkey Help, you can press
ALT+ Right Arrow to move forward by topic and ALT+ Left Arrow to move
back by topic. These are the same keystrokes which would be used within
Microsoft Internet Explorer to move forward and back through web pages.

Upgrading from Version 4.01 to 4.02

The procedure for upgrading J-Tunes from version 4.01 to 4.02 is fully
described in our User Guide. However, the "Quick Guide" for upgrading
is as follows:
1. Download and install the J-Tunes program from our web site which
is now updated to version 4.02.
2. Re-start the computer when requested.
3. Re-Install your J-Tunes Authorisation File if you have one.
4. Re-start the computer when requested.
