I use a Sony 907 for about $100. I can get current pricing if you care
to spend that much. It's very light, takes one AA battery, and is stereo.
Otherwise you can just pick up something for $20 at Radio Shack. For
recording meetings and lectures an inexpensive microphone will be fine.
