thanks I shall give it a try. another question I have is that I saw somthing about my drive not being a write drive. it didn't make sense because it is. the computer I was given has only one Cd/Dvd drive in it.

Hi gary,

when you have the new project and session choices made tab past the tree
view so that the focus is in the list view. Then either go to the edit menu and choose add tracks to layout or you can get there by pressing shift-f10.
