Sorry but did you charge the microphone or inserted a new set of batteries?

I Have played around with the play back option. To know avale. Every time I go in to sound recorder to try and make a file, nothing happens. When I try to play it back no sound. I am running windows XP pro and jaws on my laptop. Can some one please help?
