Multi-track editors are not necessarily expensive for PCs. Audacity is a
free and open source multi-track editor.

Putting aside my less than pleasant exchanges with Mac owners, I believe

Mac has much to offer - and re. Amadeous, this does look like a
multi-track
editor that vi people can use, as opposed to the rather expensive
solutions
available right now in The PC world.
So, yes, let's here more about the Mac platform and things such as
exchanging audio files between Windows/Macs.
(In the Mac vs. PC debate I'm very agnostic, but do abhore the "mine's
better than your's" childishness that sometimes happens.

I think that Tom has done a fine job of offering list members the

related to the Mac fits right in to the current definition of applicable

Personally, I'm in the midst of deciding whether my next computer will be

Mac or a windows system and discussions of audio applications on both are
crucial to reaching an intelligent decision. To others, a discussion of

to listen to some event which is of interest to people who live in another
part of the world is just as crucial. So I hope the list will maintain its
broad base of topics which are eligible for discussion.
