This concerns a new digital audio recorder from Sanyo that came out back
in May this year, the Sanyo FP600d and slightly more expensive the
FP700d. These digital recorders take high capacity sd cards up to at
least 8 gb, possibly more and record in mp3 format for up to 544 hours
with one aaa battery that lasts up to 29 hours. Furthermore, it plays
back at speeds from 50% to 200% of the original speed with pitch staying
normal at all speeds. Priced at around $90 at Amazon and other places
as low as $78 it seems like a cheaper alternative for blind fols who
want to record audio notes from microphone or line in or external
mike--that is if it is reasonably accessible for us blind users. I am
tempted to buy one to see how accessible/inaccessible it is but thought
I would check here to see if any of you have tried to use this device?
Any firsthand reports greatly needed!
