There is a promotion on that you can try them out, and if you don't like the
radio you can return it. You have to subscribe to the service.

Talking about redcievers, is there anyone out thereor rather, is there
anybody that has a *portable* xm or serious radio? I would imagine
they're
expensive; I heard that you can buy them but probably expensive right?

that was the impression I had that the clock was the only aspect which
would
have required local eyeballs. I'm guessing the clock is not important to
the operation or could the clock be set automatically by means of a sync
pulse which might be transmitted on an HD stream?

I have one of these radios, which is an entry level receiver. you will
need
sighted assistance with setting the clock. other than that, you can set
the
radio station memories yourself by scanning to the station, holding one
of
the five preset buttons in for five seconds. while on the FM band, the
presets will cycle through the HD stations that are associated with the
main
station you are listening to at the time. some stations have one
substation
while others have two substations.
