I know what you want and - I could be wrong - but i don't think you
can do this with Goldwave, that's one of the main reasons why I don't
recommend Goldwave or Sound Forge for recording, rather I recommend
Total Recorder because it has global hotkeys as part of its operation
which are affective whatever you're doing, in the middle of doing some
word processing and you suddenly hear that special moment you wish to
capture? No problem! just press the Total Recorder Global Record
hotkey and you're done!

Hi. Is it possible to set up a global keystroke or two so I can
record on the fly? I do a morning show and I like to record the
calls. It seems easier to record when the calls come in as opposed
to record the whole show. Plus sometimes i like to go back and play
a call or two over the air. The problem is i always have to switch
to my goldwave window, then make sure my start marker is at the end
of the file, and then hit record. Trying to figure out a simpler
solution without having to use a separate program. Thanks for the
help.
