The best I've been able to use is the SRS WOW! built in to Windows Media
Player. I find it works best on the large speakers setting. The headphone
setting sounds filtered and closed in to me.
SRS has Windows software but the demo wasn't to Jaws friendly. I believe
they also have hardware. A friend had a hardware unit some years ago. The
quality could have been better.
I previously had Stream FX for Winamp from Spatializer Audio but they appear
to have gone out of business.
All the other 3d audio plug-ins I've tried for WMP were not at all Jaws
friendly. Couldn't find a control anywhere with the Jaws cursor.

This would be cool to have. I remember that virtual haircut thing on
Youtube. I can't believe it actually sounds surround through a normal USB
headset.

Subject: Surround plugins hardware etc
Hi,
I spend a lot of time listening to music through headphones, and have
tried
on many occasions to find a piece of software which psycho acoustically
creates a feeling of depth through headphones. I've looked at a couple,
but
none are particularly accessible. D
Does anyone on the list have experience of any hardware/software solution
to
this problem.
Thanks,
David.
