I am a nube but I see where there are 2 types of output these days ie...
Analog and Digital. The analog is for things like tape recorders and
speakers while digital is for things like CDs and DVDs and perhaps MP3 stuff
I think. If you are set up to record from a digital input perhaps that would
be the problem. You could have it set to data also and that would cause many
problems i think. I have my own problems, can't find the equalizer, and so
this might be of no help but I thought I would mention it in case you did
not know it.

Subject: problems recording from my soundcard
Hi all. I have a problem recording from my sound card. I'm using audacity
to record and have the mixer set to sterio and have also tried other
settings. When I hit record jaws starts going rrrrr rrrrr and then starts
making a lifting off sound like a plain on the ground. I have a soundmax
digital audio sound card. Anyone know what's going on? Is there another
software I should use for recording streams?
Thanks,
Troy
