I have had this problem with Winamp and the SqrSoft Advanced Crossfading plugin with all versions of Winamp since version 5.53. That is why whenever a new version of Winamp comes out, I install and try it and if the crossfader crashes I go back to version 5.53. I use JAWS and don't know if it has any part to play in the equation.
