This is good news. I just checked on the Officemax web site and they're not offering it as yet. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Stephen Guerra" <[email protected]>

David: I looked at the Olympus web site yesterday and I was quite certain
it said these wouldn't be available till June of this year. So, you're
saying they're actually available now?

One of my coworkers told me about the information on the website at
Olympus about them. These models include a Daisy player, the DM2 has 4
gigabytes of internal memory and the DM4 has 8 gigabytes of internal
memory.

The company that our state agency purchases computers and digital
recorders from is already selling these. The list prices are $299 for the

DM4 and $249 for the DM2. Both record WMA, MP3, and WAV. They both have
the 16 GB micro SDHC card slot.

RNIB here in the UK has sent a message to at least one list here about
these recorders to be released in June of this year. Little detail as
yet, but they're said to support TTS and DAISY format recording.

Sorry if this has reached this list before now, but I'm in digest mode so

haven't seen latest messages.
