Hi Casey, Glenna ordered the Fuze. The way to get it to speak right out of the box is to plug the earphones in and turn it on. If it doesn't speak after about 5 or so seconds, it most likely just needs a reset, which is accomplished by holding the power button in the on position for 15 seconds and then letting it go. Simple as that. Of course you also get the free tech support and the 90-day replacement warranty in case something doesn't work right.
