You can access the recorder as a flash drive via usb, and if you copy non DRM files across, everything should be fine. Formats it supports are MP3, WMA (non drm and perhaps not the latest version).
I haven't tried to access DRM protected WMA files on the unit, which would perhaps involve the software provided with the machine, which isn't that accessible, from what I recall folks saying.
