I'm not sure what OS you're talking about Jim, but I'm guessing it's
Windows. You can use Switch on the Mac to convert MOV files to another
format, but it doesn't look like you can do this with Switch for Windows.
You can read more about Switch for the Mac and you'll find a download link
at http://www.nch.com.au/switch/kb/1065.html.
Replay converter says it does support Quicktime video, but it doesn't list
any specific file types, so this may also be an option. It's available
from
http://www.applian.com/replay-converter/index.php.
I know this isn't much, and I don't know if it'll help or not. I don't
have
any first hand experience with the MOV file type myself, so I don't know
any
more than what I've read on line and in the help files for these two
programs.

Hello Jim,
MOV files can only be played in Quick Time Media player.
That is the reason they can only be played on your computer, because you
have Quick Time Media Player on your computer.
But as far as I know, it can burn and rip CD's and DVD's too.
But however, it's not screen reader friendly on the PC, but it is very
assessable on the Mack!
My best regards.
John.

Does anyone know about MOV files? I have two of those types of files
that
I
need to burn on to a DVD that needs to work on either a computer or a
standard DVD player.
Do they need to be converted or something?
They're not playing on any other computer but mine.
Jim
