Hello Tom,
Yes, that is correct.
This is the standard version of Winamp.
But then again, all of them can do it.
John.

Hmmm! Never knew that Winamp had an audio converter built into it! Now
we _are_ talking about the regular "Winamp"..and not Winamp Pro..right?

Hello Tom,
I never figured out how to use it, but Winamp has an audio file converter
built in to it.
So perhaps maybe you can use that to convert those to MP3's?
John.

Hi John and list: Yup..you are correct (they do play in Winamp)..I
still need to convert them to "MP3"..if I ever want to play them in the
VIP Conduit music rooms. I don't think this is all a "VIP
problem"..rather..the client that is being used (so I understand
it)..cannot play WMAs or other file types.

High Tom and all other list members,
I just remembered something, M4A files can and will play in Winamp.
I just thought I'd pass that little bit of info along.
My best regards.
John.

No..but am thinking about downloading that program..hopefully it's not
a difficult program to use..and I'll be able to figure it out--smile!
Apparently, this is one file type that Total Recorder does not convert
to MP3!

High Tom,
Did you ever try converting those files with Switch?
John.

Thanks Anders:: Have checked out the link; I can play the files
okay; I may, however..need to convert them to MP3s (if this can be
done)..this much I know: Total Recorder _will not_ convert them as
it gives me the message that I mentioned earlier!

Hi list: Today someone sent me some music files..but they are
what they call ".m4a" files; I have no idea of what they are; I
only know that Total Recorder won't convert them to MP3's (or any
other thing)..it's telling me that the file name is invalid or one
that is not supported! So what is a ".m4A?
