Hi Brett,
it sounds like the audio driver after the reinstall isn't the same one that was
there prior to the reinstall. You may be able to download an audio driver for
your laptop from the dell website, or it may be easier to contact dell's tech
support.

Hi. Great tips but here is my problem: I had to do a windows 7 reinstall on my
dell pc a few weeks ago. After I did that I don't see any other inputs on the
speakers properties lels tab. I used to see this. So now when I read comercials
for the radio station I can either
a have no sound and hope for the best when I play back. b Check the listen to
option on my microphone and try to read with a delay which is very hard.
I seem to have just a regular onboard sound that came with this new dell. Any
help would be apreciated. bb
