Vocal harmonization effects

Hi guys,

I'd like to know of either software or hardware being used to produce 
vocal harmonies.  I am strictly a hobbyist so am not looking for 
high-end professional gear.  I do have Total Recorder and N-Track 
Studio, but would be willing to accquire other applications.
