Right, have you consdiered the Logitech desktop microphone? Costs about
$20.00 and will d well for most applications, you don't have to pay a
fortune for a reasonable microphone these days.
Setup is dead simple, just plug it into your USB port, point your sound
recording software to it and you're away!
I use one here and have done for the last 2 years so I can give you a demo
if required.
