Actually it is in the readme. You have two choices:
1 remove the followers buffer from your session i think its
control-win-apostrophe
2 to mute the status but keep the buffer in your session control-win-alt-m
these are just from memory check the read me for the exact command but that
is what they're called. Also control-win-k is the change hot key box. But
it's a great way to pull up the list of default keystrokes quickly.

Hello list: The other night I added two more followers to my list of
followers. Ever since that night, every so often, Jaws will speak, "four
new followers retrieved." Is this supposed to be happening? I'm
rerunning Qwitter version 4.0.2, with Jaws 12, Windows XP Home. I
apologize if this is covered in "Read Me" but I don't recall seeing it
there! If this indeed normal, is there a way to shut that off? I don't
know that I particularly need Jaws to remind me that I have four new
followers!
