This software from rogueamoeba is the first app on the App store to allow recording on your Mac, record from anything whether that source be a stream playing in Safari, audio from another piece of software or from a sound device.
The interface is supposed to simple though I'm not sure just how accessible the software is yet as I haven't tried it.
