I haven't really been following this, so don't know if this was mentioned,
but I use a Slingbox for TV on my computer. It lets me watch my cable lineup
from anywhere in the world. I use Total Recorder to record shows. Total
Recorder's scheduler can even turn on the Slingbox when it's time to start
recording. However, I have to have it on the correct channel in advance. I
don't think Total Recorder can be set up to change the channels on the
Slingbox.
