Subject: Question about virtual audio cable

If one uses the driver as a recording source, could one record internet
streams without the speech mixing into it? I know this is an issue for some
particularly on Windows Vista and later and do not wish to use an external
sound card. As far as I can see I know this can be done with Virtual Audio
Streaming simply by setting the playback device to the virtual card in the
application where the stream is to be played.
