Unfortunately, at the moment, the external harddrive I have the GoldWave
installer on is out of action. The drive went bye bye at right around the
time I started getting the error in GoldWave. And, yes, Big Finish fan and
have been since about 2005 or so. Smile.

That's very weird; I've certainly never gotten an error message like
that before. The only thing I can suggest is to re-install the
programme, since it seems the problem is directly related to interaction
with the file system?
