I am a user of XM radio and have recently hooked into the internet
functionality. Inputting a station by number seems to be quite a challenge.
Does anyone have any experience successfully navigating through the internet
station inputting process? If so, could you indicate how you locate the correct
input field which appears to be virtually inaccessible with the JAWS screen
reader. Also, could you send me an email (d...@pge.com) or call me at
415.973.6646 so we can discuss further if you've had any success.

I read a review by a blind XM radio enthusiast and he indicated that there were
third party applications that were accessible, but XM last year blocked all
such access and has a flash screen presentation which makes using JAWs
effectively almost impossible since that time. However, all I'm looking for is
a work around to input the channel by numbers. I can get the radio turned on
over the internet. Then one should be able to tab through to the channel input
source, but there is no consistent speech or field that I have been able to
identify to use in locating where to input channel by number.

In response to Kris Hickerson and Sunshine's question asking whether the 800
number stations are accessible through the radio or only through the internet,
it is my understanding that the high number stations including those in the 800
range are only accessible through the internet.

Actually, I think my problem was that I had an outdated version of Tapin Radio
on my Pc, and until this morning, I hadn't tried either Cumulous or Clear
Channel because of my inability to get them previously. That's why I am
grateful to Vitek for mentioning Cumulous and Clear Channel availability on
Tapin Radio. I have used iHeart radio on my iPhone for Cumulous and clear
channel, and I had used iTunes on the iPhone for everything else.

Hi Don and all,

Don't take it as an advertising trash :o) as I'm quite far from doing that
stuff intentionally but you can tune into all stations from Iheartradio.com
using Tapin-radio product by simply typing the call letters or their moniker

in the search field in the main window available there using "e" ?shortcut key
just like browser's edit fields. By shift+tab you land on the search results
and hitting enter will play the station or arrowing up/down you can choose the
station if there are more of them.

We store all almost 800 stations from that website using special stream URLs

because they can't be sniffed on the website for them using rmtp protocol.

A direct link for the product:
http://www.tapinradio.com/downloads/tapinradio_setup.exe

You can of course sort stations by countries/states e.g. Oregon New York
etc./genres such as rock country or even combine strings typing e.g. country

texas to get country stations out of Texas only.

There are U.S. only stations that usually are the Iheartradio.com stations and
also Streamtheworld company that geoblocks some stations too.

Hope this helps some even though it doesn't literally answer the question
regarding Iheartradio app solely.

Have a nice day
Tapin

The question is, is there a windows app for iHeart radio? If so, please
could someone provide a direct link as I find the iHeart radio site more

Does anyone know if there's a tutorial or podcast demonstrating tapin?

Hi all,

Thank you guys for your responses I really do appreciate it:).

A: Cumulus streams got switched to Streamtheworld company from what I know
because we had hundreds of reports of failed Cumulus streams and all working
flawlessly in Streamtheworld format so I did the trick with our database
through PSPad text editor using regular strings finding
(mms://live.cumulusstreaming.com/)(\w\w\w\w)-(AM|FM)
replacing with
http://provisioning\.streamtheworld\.com/pls/$2$3\.pls

and it's working great now.

B: Every week it's important to update the database in menu -> file -> update
station listing so all changes made are fresh.

C: The shortcut keys list is available under F1 key where you can arrow up/down.

D: I'm afraid there's no any audio presentation yet, however, if anybody
decides to embark on making the audio presentation for blind or wider community
we offer the license key for free afterwards. I've personally made the
presentation in Czech language only but I don't dare speaking English that long
as my spoken official formal English isn't that excellent though:). Coward huh?
:D

E: OK we also store many big band stations just type
big band
in the search field. I really love All Brass Band Radio out of Indiana (USA)
but there are big band stations from RadioIO network, Gotradio, Calmradio and
who likes jazz and its variety and colors there's jazzradio.com network which
has countless of jazz kinds of music from piano through guitar to saxophone
about 30 channels. I'm done with conservatory and my major was piano so it's a
huge inspiration to me:). Also Calmradio nework mentioned above has so many
fascinating channels from composers themselves Telemann, Mozart, Bach
Stravinski etc. through possitivity, spa, healing sleep etc. to e.g. celo flute
or gregorian channels, all can be written in the search field and shift+tab to
go to the search results. It's a must-have for classical or jazz connoisseurs:).

All networks are alphabetically ordered under Search menu button just after the
search field when tabbing once. Hit enter on the button in main window and
arrowing up/down you'll get the information needed, it's a standard threeview
display.

F: And yes the direct download link for TR is
http://www.tapinradio.com/downloads/tapinradio_setup.exe

Hi Hank,

Yeah thanks for the notification kqnt is a mystery as I can't play it either
for being outside the U.S. border so I can't reach the stream URL being
geoblocked and there's apparently no any solution on how to bypass that damn
limitation:).

We can list and we do list all Air traffic controls from the U.S.A. Canada or
Aussie as well as police and fire scanners law enforcements highway patrols,
train Antrax communications and weather stations by NOAA. Also some radio ham
freqs where radio amateurs just squibble e.g. two meters bands and so forth. Of
course some of them don't work all the time for them being streamed by
enthusiastics having no benefits or revenue from doing that so it depends on
their willingness and technical capacities etc.

But perhaps if you use some Iphone apps for Iheartradio I think you could
retrieve the stream URL for that radio station something like properties etc.
don't you happen to have anything of that nature in it?

Have a nice day

I'm running Window Eyes, a triple talk pci synth on a win 7 machine
with a 32 bit processor and operating system. I have noticed that at
times, my synth volume gets lowered by system sounds or Microsoft
Anna. It is like my synth can't compete and not that the volume
setting is changed. Any ideas on fixing this? I have my synth and
my system headphone line going into a y adapter and my wireless
headphones coming from the narrow end of the y. My synth volume is
as loud as it will go.

All of this discussion regarding Tapin radio prompts me to inquire as to
whether Radio Sure is gone. At any rate, nothing happens on my system
when I launch Radio Sure, so I suspect that it is no longer viable.

Hi,

They are working from what I know. They might have been temporarily unavailable
I'd say.

By the way I'd like to mention one more and last thing and then I'll shut my
cakehole :o) since the number of my e-mails is quite high these days.

If you type
blind
in the search field or choose Blind category under Genres when clicking Search
menu button you'll get all stations providing reading service for
blind/partially sighted/print-handicapped people. There are dozens of stations
from the USA Canada Australia and several other countries in Tapin-radio. They
read various articals from newspapers magazines product prices, fliers essays
stories whatever but most of you I think are familiar with this type and format
of service.

OK that's all definitely

later

All of this discussion regarding Tapin radio prompts me to inquire as to
whether Radio Sure is gone. At any rate, nothing happens on my system
when I launch Radio Sure, so I suspect that it is no longer viable.

which has countless of jazz kinds of music from piano through guitar to
saxophone about 30 channels. I'm done with conservatory and my major was piano
so it's a huge inspiration to me:). Also Calmradio nework mentioned above has
so many fascinating channels from composers themselves Telemann, Mozart, Bach

go to the search results. It's a must-have for classical or jazz connoisseurs:).
